Learn to become a network

marketing leader with these

presentation tips.

From the day you stepped into first grade all the way up to to when you received your college degree you have sat through hundreds , if not thousands of presentations. Enduring presentations that would never end and presentations that we wished would last forever.

Question…

What makes a presentation memorable?  Is it the speaker? Is it the power point? Is it the topic?

When you dissect  these questions it all boils down to one element.

The presenter.

I  was in Barnes and Noble the other day and I was fortunate enough to see a speaker/author talk about his latest project. He was in front of a dais and spoke candidly about his work and read to us excerpts of his book.

I was enthralled. He had taken me and I am sure so many in the audience to a wonderful place . The dynamics of his speech and the tone of his voice was hypnotizing.

His presentation was so well thought out.  He had total control. After the session, I decided that I had to become that man. I had to move people with my words. As a network marketer I knew that this ability would help my business tremendously.

I immediately went over to the business section of Barnes and Noble and picked up a book on how to become a powerful presenter. I read 190 pages of this book in 2 hours. I could not put it down. My quest had started and nothing was going to stop me.

Tips to becoming a great

presenter.

1) Be prepared.

It doesn’t matter what the content is, what matters is how the content is delivered. Great presenters know their presentations like the back of their hand.

They generally  never use notes or prompts. The presentation becomes a story from start to finish.

How you can use this towards your business is by knowing all the answers that a potential prospect may ask.

Talk to friends and family and have them write out a survey of 5 of their  top questions they may have towards your product and business. This would be a great way to get started.

2) Believe in your presentation.

Great presenters love their topics and present their topic with passion.

This statement says it all. A great presenter is able to pull you in and keep you focused on what is said.

When you talk about your business or opportunity show enthusiasm and confidence. This will come across to the listener that you know what you are saying and that what you are saying is true as for as they know.

3) Keep eye contact with their audience.

Not only does this mean that the  presenter is  confident, it also means that the presenter is connecting with each member of the room. He will use words as “I” and “you” so that everything the presenter is saying is done from the audiences perspective.

When you are doing in homes or presentations focus on who you are talking to. Engage them by including them. A good tip is to say  “we” when you address you and your company.

e.g. We at Somalife believe that health and wellness will be a ten billion dollar a year industry by 2012.

4) Speak loud and clear.

Do not speak in language that is foreign or offensive to the audience. Slang is a no no.   Always stay professional  when you speak. Do not insult your listener.

5) Be natural.

Move around the room. People do not respond well to a talking statue. Interact with your audience and have them participate. This will help you connect with your audience.

People join people. If they feel that you are too uptight they may not want to be part of your team. Be loose yet confident in what you say. Be aware of your body language when in front of an audience.

I am sure by now  you are saying to yourself that this looks and sounds easy to do. I assure you, it is not.  There are ways you can train yourself to become a great presenter.

If presentations are part o f your network marketing business, record yourself giving the presentation. Have your closest trusted family and friends evaluate you. Warning, be ready for some tough love.

Here are ways to improve your

speaking and presenting skills.

1) ToastMasters

an organization that is dedicated to helping people improve their speaking and leadership skills. Find a club near you at ToastMasters.org

2) Hire a private speaking coach.

3) Practice, practice, practice

this  is how you end up presenting in Carnegie Hall.

Presentations are synonymous with network marketing. There will be a day when you , the network marketer, will have to get up in front of an audience to present your product or business opportunity.

Be prepared…

To all your success!
