Want to know how to promote
your squeeze page and get that
opt-in?
If you have been hanging with me lately, I have been keeping with the topic of list building and the components necessary to achieve the list of your dreams.
To review: A special offer or a free bonus product must be part of your squeeze page. People are more likely to give you their name and email address in exchange for a free gift.
Question…is this enough to build your list?
The obvious answer is no…people need to know that your squeeze page exist and it will be your job to send traffic to your opt in site.
Squeeze page promotion
strategies.
All your basic traffic generating rules apply to your squeeze page, just as they do with driving traffic through to your ordinary blog. You will want to promote your squeeze page through as many avenues you can think of.
Here are 4 ways to get your squeeze paged noticed. I recommend that you use the combination of these 4 methods and do your best to become good at each.
1) Article writing
Article writing continues to be a successful way to generate traffic to squeeze pages. Your articles may be posted onto your blog or submitted to article directories like:
You can set up a Squidoo lens with your articles or a hub page. There’s no harm in using the same article several times. Just make sure it’s a good one and gets the results that you are looking for.
If article writing is not your bag you can outsource it. Below are some sites that require a monthly fee for a set amount of articles.
2)Social networking
Social networking is an exceedingly powerful way to generate traffic to your squeeze page. Though it is not a 100% guarantee, it is still worth the time and effort.
Use your Twitter account to promote your free product. Set up a fan page on Facebook and post your articles on your product here. If you are promoting an eBook you might want to use some of the content to show case what you are offering.
3) Search engine optimization
If you are going to go with SEO for your squeeze page then make sure that you have selected appropriate keywords to go with your page as well as with the free product you are offering.
Natural search can contribute to your traffic eventually. It does take some time though to reach the first page of search with your keywords. It requires focused article writing using these keywords and submitting these articles to article directories and setting up hub pages with them.
4) Video
YouTube is considered the second largest search engine. Larger than Bing and Yahoo according to comScore. This is why video must be one of your strategies. Like article writing, provide value in your videos and people will click on your squeeze page link.
If you are camera shy, make every effort to get over yourself. The viewer is more concerned about content, not the appearance of your face.
List building is a process. Having all of your ducks in a row and following some basic list building rules will help expedite your list building goal.
