Hello there! If you are new here, you might want to Grab the RSS feed for updates on this topic.

YouTube is slapping channels

left and right…

As the title implies, the sad truth is that YouTube is now on a rampage and slapping people left and right. Accounts in the thousands have been shut down because of new policies that they been implemented.

If you plan on using You Tube as your primary video marketing host, expect to play by the rules or else. Meaning, if you haven’t been disabled,  suspended or deleted , you are currently  either flying under the radar or you have not been caught yet.

Save your YouTube channel.

I first learned of the YouTube slap from a webinar I saw. A full 45 minutes was that dedicated to this one topic. Deciding that this information should get out to the masses, I decided to write a quick post of what not to do on  YouTube.

As I wrote about in my other YouTube post, of all of my campaigns, YouTube gives me the highest conversion rate. I plan on keeping it that way.

So please take this post to heart and heed my warning. You do not want to lose your YouTube channel.. It is that valuable.

YouTube Dont’s

1) Have Only 1 YouTube account.

Guys the days of more than 1 account are over. This one is at the top of the list as to why YouTube has axed so many people.

2) Do not SPAM.

Do not spam your video description, title or tags with keywords.

3) Dump Tube Blaster Pro.

Using any software that steals friends and leaves comments will automatically get you deleted.

4) Take YouTube off your Traffic Geyser list.

YouTube and Traffic Geyser should no longer work in conjuction.

5) Provide only value.

Dump the sales pitching videos and focus on videos that brand YOU. This will ensure that your channel stays active.

6) Never EVER upload duplicate content.

Its YouTube’s way or the highway. YouTube will know if your video is being shared or duplicated on other video sharing sites.  Them be’s the rules

7) No more purchasing views.

I always thought that this was crazy to do any way. Earn your views and let them come in organically.

Ladies and gentlemen you have been warned.YouTube is only cleaning up house and that is not necessarily so bad.

So continue to use YouTube and get some leads.

Dedicated to your success!

Yay. Thanks for the information. Just wanna ask about the duplicate content. Is it like you’re not allowed to post videos that are the same with others? Like, how about the music videos that can be found in YouTube? I’m sure there are more than 1 person uploading a certain music video. Right?

Feiye,

Excellent question. From my understanding, if a video was coming from the same channel and promoting a system, you are not allowed to send multiple videos saying the same thing with a little tweaking. Make original fresh videos every time. PROVIDE VALUE.

Thank you for coming by.

I see. Thanks for the answer! :) How can it be? I mean you know, people sometimes do upload almost the same vids with a little tweaking, right? hehe.

I know and you tube is now red flagging them. Be careful and true to your message. This is why the big names like Jonathan Budd, Brian Finale etc have had their accounts canceled. They themselves admit that they were pushing it and now have lost tons of video.

Learn from their mistakes.

Really? I didn’t know their accounts have been deleted.

No sales pitching videos. That could be hard for marketers, isn’t it? Oh well.

It just sucks when your YouTube gets deleted because you can never get your username again. Specially if it’s like integrated with other accounts that we have. So, we really should be careful.
