Your Pay Per Click campaign

not producing?

As you may know, I have ventured into the world of PPC or Pay Per Click marketing. Not knowing what I was getting myself into at the time, I  knew that it would be wise to purchase some training material prior to getting my feet wet.

Up until then all I knew was that Google is considered to be the most popular search engine in the world and if I was going to do pay per click marketing, it was going to be with the platform Google Adwords.

I am not a master of PPC, but I have learned through my studies ways to help you, the  PPC user, drive that wanted traffic to your website.  The course that I bought along with  Perry Marshall’s book both recommended that I first master Google Adwords. A challenge that I have boldly accepted.

Of all the tips there are to achieve higher click through rates and higher conversions, 5 will only be mentioned here that I feel will  help you run a successful Google Adwords campaign.

5 Tips To A Successful Google Campaign

1) PPC beginners, turn off Content Targeting first.

To keep you safe, I recommend you start with the search network and exclude content targeting. As a beginner, you will not get the desired results that you want. Most of all, this is an easy way to lose lots of money.

2) You must set a daily budget.

This will include the actual amount you can afford in a day per click. Many have lost their pants with PPC and it is generally because they did not follow this simple rule.

Also, set a limit to the cost per keyword you are bidding for. Google will bill you once a month and it is quite discouraging receiving  your bill and  find out that you did not generate any leads or sales.

3) Choose and bid on the right keywords.

The cost of irrelevant keywords are usually higher. This will add additional cost to your campaign. Make sure you research your keywords properly to make sure that you have a set of keywords that is related to what you are offering on your website.

4. Ad groups must have proper keywords.

Placement and usage of proper keywords will target your ads better. Have a keyword in the title and in the description of the ad. This will improve your chances of higher CTR and lower your campaign cost.

5. A MUST…split test all of your ads.

Your goal here is to increase the CTR of your ad. It is advised that after 30 clicks, delete the ad that has the lowest CTR and add a new one. Tweak the new ad  slightly and see if your new add outperforms the first. Here is an example; changing one word or changing the words around. So if you feel that PPC is in your future and you want to now expand your marketing reach. Take my advice and get guidance first before plunging in.

I would be glad to help you get started.
